Upgrade Completed - NEW website launched

Worldwide Brands has officially launched our brand new website and completed the transition from myAffiliateProgram Version 5 to Version 8. We've made many changes to increase conversion rates and the customer's experience. Here's a breakdown of changes and how they impact you:
- New Landing page and Upgraded site - This will increase conversion rates. If you use images of our landing page on your site, you will need to upgrade those images.
- New Video Education - The upgraded site is now offering FREE instructive video content, including 5 eye-opening tips that every online retailer should know about finding legitimate Wholesalers.
- New Affiliate Center - The affiliate center has been upgraded to make it easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.
- Direct login to statistics from Worldwide Brands site - From the affiliate center, you can now logon directly to your affiliate administration area.
- New free ebook: "Successful Product Sourcing"Successful Product Sourcing: How to Find Real Wholesale Products You Can Sell Online by CEO Chris Malta. - This is a new free ebook that will be great as a free bonus or offer for your customers. This ebook is about the different methods of product sourcing. Once again you will be able to offer this on your website. Please note that you can not offer the pdf directly. You need to link directly to the download page so that your cookie is set.
- New Banner tool - This tool will generate the code for you automatically based on your selections with your affiliate id. You can change destination pages, images and more just by the click of the mouse. It's Quick, Easy and it already uses the new upgraded link formating.
- New Custom Text Link tool - The custom text link tool will be updated on November 1st with the new style affiliate links. You can use this tool to create any type of text link to multiple different destination pages.
- New and Upgraded Banners - You will notice that many of your banners currently on your site will be upgraded. Some banners are out of date and needed updating. We've kept similar themes and color schemes. In addition, we've created some new banners that you can choose from including banners for the new free ebook.
- New style affiliate links:Here is a current example of the href link you currently use for your affiliate links: http://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/u/worldwid/t.asp?id=XXXXX . The new style link will look like http://www.worldwidebrands.com/?kbid=XXXXX. Please upgrade your links to this new version. You can use the new banner tool and custom text link tool to make this quick and easy.
- New look to your Affiliate Administration area - Login and take a look at the new administration area. You will see that there are now new reporting features and a whole new look. Read the Welcome page to learn about what the new administration area offers.
- Sub link tracking - If you have a particular banner or link that you would like to track then you can create a subid in your Affiliate Account. Instructions on how to use subids are included in the Administration Area under the View Reports tab. Login to your Affiliate Account and Select View Reports then Manage Subids to learn how to use the subids feature
Important Notes About the Upgrade:
- 2nd tier affiliates- All second tier affiliates will be carried over with the upgrade and will continue to function as normal.
- Existing links
- All current existing links will continue to work as normal. However you will need to update them if you want to link directly to worldwidebrands.com for SEO purposes and for future features offered by our program.
- Payment Schedule
- Payments of commissions will remain the same. Checks are mailed out via USPS by the middle of the month for previous month's commissions.
- RSS Feed - If you use the RSS script or links, you do not need to worry about updating this. The script and links will remain the same and will continue to work as normal.
- Statistics before November 1st - If you want to view your statistics prior to November 1st, there is a "V5 Reports" link to your old Version 5 statistic tables in the View Reports tab. Please use this to view your statistics prior to November 1st including your commissions for October.
- PayPal Payments - Starting January 2007, you can have your commission payments sent directly to your PayPal account. Login to your account through the Affiliate Center and update the PayPal email address field on the Contact Profile page and select Yes to Opt-in to PayPal payments. You can do this at any time. If you don't want PayPal, then select No for the PayPal option and leave the PayPal email address blank. If you do opt-in to receiving PayPal payments then you will start receiving Paypal payments in January 2007. Until then, paper check will be mailed per current procedure.

Did You Know? | | eComXpo Trade Show for Internet and Affiliate Marketers | Thank you to everyone who visited us at the Worldwide Brands booth at eComXpo this year. We had a great time at the virtual trade show and met many new affiliates and existing affiliates. If you missed any of the presentations or the show itself, it's not to late to get access to the University. | Worldwide Brands is required by US federal law to file 1099s for anyone earning over $200 in commissions. To do this we need your W9 form completed each year with your latest information. It's getting closer to the end of the year so some of you will start seeing emails from your Affiliate Manager about sending in your W9 forms. Please send these in as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who has already submitted your W9. |
International Affiliates - Submit W8 Forms |
| US federal law requires that we have a w8 form on file for all international affiliates earning commissions. Starting November 1st, International affiliates will not receive their commission checks unless a W8 has been submitted. Emails have already been sent out to individuals who are impacted for this month's commissions. Please make sure to submit these forms as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who already has submitted their W8. If you would like the W8 form again, then please email your affiliate manager. |

Marketing Quick Tips |
Direct Links improve Search Engine Optimization
Direct links to a reputable, high ranked website benefit you for SEO. The old style affiliate links to Worldwide Brands did not give you this benefit because they linked directly to myAffiliateProgram and then were rerouted to Worldwide Brands. The new style links no longer do this. They direct your traffic straight to Worldwidebrands.com. Use the Banner and Custom Text Link tools available on November 1st to change your links to the new style links so that your website can benefit from the direct links. |
